~Mitten Weather Altered Fun~

♥Good morning and Happy New Year to all my friends in blog land!♥

Are you ready for the New Year's Eve celebrations tonight?
We have company coming and it will be a casual fun night.

I did sit down yesterday and scrapped a little.
I bought this unusual door hanger from Old Time Pottery
in December with the intention of scrapping it before Christmas
but obviously I got a little busy.

This was painted an ugly checkered green with crazy odd trees
all over the mitten. *I wish I had taken before pics!*
I decided I wanted to use it for the winter on my bedroom door.
I wanted it to be soft and pretty so I could use it all winter not just Christmas.
I used the Imaginisce Enchanted Line, the Roly Poly Posies, my ibond,
the letters are Basic Grey, and also I used the Glue Arts Extreme Adhesive.
I also coated the Mitten Weather in Stickles, then covered them
in the Glossy Accents from Ranger.
Overall I have to say I am pretty happy with it BUT I think I will keep
it in my scrap room instead LOL
Oh and on the sides I used that Smooch Ink...LOVE that stuff.

Ok I am off to go cook!!!!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR! Come back tomorrow for HUGE PRIZES!
~Thanks for popping by~

~After Christmas Crafting Begins ♥~

Good morning my amazingly talented crafty friends!

Between crafting for CHA, the new catalogs and other commitments
I nearly forgot to make thank you cards from Christmas this year
so I sat down yesterday and started the process.
I love sitting down and scrapping for the ones I love, the ones I know
will appreciate my card, it makes it so much fun!

Really I just used scraps for the entire card, and
the new Couture Core'dinations cardstock, it's that pre-glittered yellow.

I don't have alot today because I have a tutorial on Clear Scraps today,
a Blog Hop and FUN project on Imaginisce Saturday...
fun new reveals for Clear Scraps this month
*trust me when I say you will be blown away*
Another Blog Hop on the 4th of January with awesome prizes and
a blog hop for Samantha Walker on the second Wednesday of January.

So please stay tuned and come back this week!
I have my wonderful family home today so I better get back to being
a mom and cook and maid LOL
~Happy Thursday~

~New Video Tutorial W/ New Tool *D-Stress*~

Good morning my friends!
Yesterday was a FANTASTIC DAY, I finally got my hands on the
newest tool from Imaginisce, the d-stress tool.
As soon as I heard about it, I knew I would love it.
**Coming soon to stores near you**

I am not even playing, it totally makes me so happy
so of course I made a video with the new tool and how it works.
Check it out ♥
*sorry it is dark, you know I usually wait but I had to get it done*
If you make mini albums or alter chipboard/acrylic in any way
you are going to love this tool for filing. I am throwing away my old files.

Ok I am off to plan for my New Years Eve Party and get the
boys to the Dr. today....
Happy Hump Day everyone!
~Thank YOU for stopping by., I am missing my blog friends~

~Country Girl~

Good morning my crafty friends!
I am BACK!!!!

I had to take a couple days off for Christmas and to heal,
my poor kids and hubby well all of us have been sick for a while now.
Thanks goodness we are all on the mend *smile*.

I did get time to sit down and scrap over Christmas.
I am determined that before 2011 ends I will have my 8.5X11 scrap book
filled if it kills me! So you might see some pages that size this year♥

This page is from the Samantha Walker Cowgirl Line....isn't is adorable?
I was so excited when she sent it to me, I knew right away I was
going to scrapbook my country lifestyle.
You know it is unusual to find a beautiful country style line
that is not all cutesy and child like, so this line is perfect for me.
It is very country and I can imagine many pages with my chickens LOL
The only thing I added was twine, vintage lace, Thickers, and a little bit of stickles.
I even used the cardstock stickers for my journaling.
Oh and of course my handy dandy Glue Arts Glue Glider pro LOL
I know I do not have the "country" look but really all I ever wanted
was to have a little farm with animals.
If we could have afforded it we would have 10-20 acres
with cows, chickens, honeybees, and a garden. Heck I'd even like to have
a Christmas Tree Farm if I could! But the 2 acres and chickens will have to do.
Now if I could just find the perfect PINK cowgirl hat LOL

Stay tuned for my January 1st post on Imaginisce with
HUGE prize packages!!!!!

Now back to keeping these boys entertained and preparing
for the New years Party we are hosting this weekend!
Happy Tuesday, thanks for stopping by♥♥

~Great News & More Cricut Imagine Projects~

Good morning my amazing crafty friends~

It is officially Christmas Eve, can you believe it?
Merry Christmas everyone! I hope your holiday is very
caring, kind, and bright. Sending much love your way.♥

I have some awesome news to share below my project....
*WAIT* don't scroll down yet LOL
**Many of you asked about ink costs, I have been checking and
it is the same as my HP printer, around 30-35.00 a cartridge?**

I wanted to make another Cricut Imagine Project but this time
make a layout instead of cards.
I used the Cricut Imagine to
print and cut the background bracket shape, then to make the floral shape
with the measuring tape and I layered it, popping it up with the
Glue Arts U CUT embellishment glue.
The background acrylic is of course Clear Scraps and in fact
this will be on the Clear Scraps blog very soon with a
"Take the fear out of acrylic blog"

And that amazing stamp you ask?? *Cause I heard it LOL*
Now you know I am not a card maker or stamper but I have
been trying my hardest to get out there and make it happen.
This stamp set "Love in Return" it spoke to me, I knew exactly what
I was going to do with it right away, thanks Eva.

♥Now on to my GREAT NEWS! ♥
Photobucket

Yes I will be with Imaginisce for one more year.
I cannot tell you how truly honored I am and how amazing it is to
work with a company that supports you 100% and is
genuinely kind and values you as not only a crafter
but a person. That is what makes a company a GREAT company
and makes it EASY for me to say YES!!!!!
I will be working full throttle just as I did last year.
In fact, look for me January 1st on the Imaginisce blog
I will be hosting a challenge, so stay tuned.

I see many old faces and many new faces on the team and
I can already tell you all, you will be inspired!!!!

~More Cricut Imagine Fun~

♥Good morning and MERRY CHRISTMAS to all my crafty friends♥

I decided this week to focus on the Cricut Imagine and share a
few projects with you that I made especially to show the Imagine work.

This card is 100% white cardstock that I printed and cut with the Cricut Imagine.
Like I shared yesterday, you can print it as one piece or layer it.
This one layers all the way but I chose to just layer the butterfly.
OUT FOR PUB!
The Imagine also has blank cuts you can print and cut like
butterfly, bracket shape, scallop shapes, clouds etc....
Anyways...I used Vintage Core'dinations cardstock for the background
then the rest was all white cardstock printed and cut by the Imagine.
OUT FOR PUB
I have a feeling this Imagine is going to make me a card maker! :)
I used the handy dandy Glue Arts U Cut 3D for the dimension
and that was pretty much it, just a touch of vintage lace and I was good to go!

So, what do you think of the Imagine so far?
This cartridge was included in the Imagine box so it was not extra *YEA*
I am excited to play some more and make a few layouts...
that is the next thing on my list!

Ok I am off to bake and cook today, the boys are jumping
out of bed every morning in anticipation of Christmas...
it's time to make Santa some cookies...Sugar Cookies I hear LOL

~Happy Holidays everyone~

~Cricut Imagine & Imaginisce Project~

Good morning my crafty friends♥

You know I have been playing with my Cricut Imagine these last
couple weeks, but all the work I have done with it was for DT work.
I have had some requests to do some blog projects with it, so
this week I am trying to focus on my Cricut Imagine work to share
some fun projects that I make with it.

This is the first one, it is a card I made.
The entire background is white paper that I printed and cut
on with the Imagine with the Best Friends cartridge.
The Imagine prints out your project then it cuts it out making your
own customized die cuts. Also you can layer the cut and pop everything
out just like those 3D stickers you buy in the store.

It's a very Cosmo Cricket inspired cartridge and really fun!
I used the new Garden Party die cuts, mesh brad , my irock for the gems and
one of the Imaginisce Roly Poly Posies flower and the new
ibond tool...man that ibond makes those flowers come together quick.
And you know on the twine I used the Glue Arts Ribbon Adhesive,
I was worried it would not hold on twine but guess what? It does! YEA!
Every project from 6 months ago has fallen apart so I am extremely thankful
I found Glue Arts!! The entire card was made with the
Extreme Glue and Glue Glider Pro too.
I think I used every tool I have on this card LOL The background piece
is actually a layered piece that had a title, but with the Imagine you can
break up the entire cut into layers OR print it up into one piece.
I chose to only print and first 3 layers and leave the words out.

I am going to tell you I was not sure how I would like it, but I love
how much more artsy the Imagine feels!!! It is more down my alley
and it's so fun to play with. So far I really like it but I only have 2 cartridges,
so we will see as they progress and as I collect more. But I love it!

I am going to TRY to do a video but I am sick right now
and my voice is awful plus I am coughing, so it will have to wait
a couple days, maybe through Christmas :)

Ok I am off to make breakfast, we have a big night of shopping ahead for
Christmas Eve snack night and baking to do for Santa and the boys.

How is your holiday going? Are you ready and done shopping?
Tomorrow I will post some pictures of my tree and the house.
I am done shopping but have a few things to wrap and just the food
left to shop for, so not too bad. I am excited!

~Thanks for stopping by~
~Happy Holidays from my family to yours~

~Taking A Break To Scrap During The Holidays~

♥Good morning my crafty friends, and
a very Merry Christmas to you all♥

I am slipping behind on blogging again, the holidays have thrown
a wrench into my blogging schedule LOL
Plus my little man has been very sick...thankfully the doctor
gave him 3 shots and some new medicine so he is on the mend.

I decided to take some time for myself last night and scrap a page
just for fun. These happened to be the pictures I had on my desk so I went with it.

When I was digging in my supplies last night I found a pad of
Core Couture Cardstock from Core'dinations. I fell in LOVE so I used it.
It's all glittery and shimmery it was also a perfect pairing with the
Imaginisce Garden Party papers, which reminds me....did you see the
Imaginisce post yesterday? It was a very pleasant surprise! :)
They featured my work on the entire blog post here
I took the chipboard tags from that line and covered them with
glitter then I used the Glue Arts U CUT IT 3D pack to pop up the
hand cut flowers and the Ribbon Adhesive to adhere the lace. I love
that Imaginisce pairs with Glue Arts, it makes my pages so easy!

Yesterday I had a wonderful day with girlfriends, I made
red velvet cupcakes and had a ball ♥

Well I am off to the Dr again today and hopefully finish baking.
~Have a wonderful day, thank for stopping by~

I am so happy it is Sunday and I was able to rest last night!!!

and I LOVE it when people change it up and make it their own...
this is what Christine did with the video...how cool is this?
I live the colors she used and the ornaments instead of trees.
Thanks Christine for sharing this with me...I really think it is amazing!

Ok I know you all are waiting on a winner....
I actually posted all names into Random.org, it took me 1 hour LOL
But here is the random.org WINNER!!!

Cristal from my heart to you this Christmas I want to tell you what a wonderful generous person you are. Your generousity has made scrappers smile all year. That brings me to traditions at my home for Christmas. Each year my family always gives to families or organizations before we buy the first gift for us. This year I didnt know how I was going to purchase anything cause my sister and mom have had financial problems that couldn't be helped. My uncle sent me a check out of the blue and my dad's legacy of giving was once again spread to the Hope House for homeless women and their children. God is so good. WE ALL should not forget the true meaning of Christmas. Merry Christmas to you and yours from my family.

Sunday, December 12, 2010

I have to laugh because I have so many amazing friends online
and off, and Gloria is someone I know from online, she always messages me

"Pinky I will sign up but you know that random picker thingy hates me!" LOL

You know I send prizes to people I don't even know half the time
I don't have any control over it I let the chips fall where they may
so everyone has a chance, but I have to giggle this morning because
I know she has messaged me that more than once LOL
I guess the random picker thingy likes you today Gloria! LOL

For those who did not win :(
I always have more giveaways, I truly believe that giving
and sharing everything I have is the way to live, especially during the
holidays and these hard times. I am so blessed to have product through
working and I love to give away as much as I can afford to ship! :)♥

Happy Holidays to all...Merry Christmas
~Thank you all for stopping by and supporting hand made crafting
and creativity by others. Because of you these giveaways happen and I keep
on crafting all year long~

~Chicken Update, Christmas Lights, & Giveaway Part Deux~

Good morning my amazingly crafty friends!
It is just freezing here in TN, I mean it's cold even for the chickens.
My boys had a snow day yesterday and drove me crazy because it
was far to cold to even go outside, those poor boys.

I thought today I would share a couple family photos/stories.
A glimpse of my Christmas Lights outside...and maybe even a Christmas GIVEAWAY!
Oh and do not forget about the Gypsy GIVEAWAY HERE courtesy of
Provocraft and the Cricut Circle

First of all my poor sweet chickens, you know chickens are fine
in the cold weather but the most common cause of death
in the cold is dehydration. To prevent this we all work together and take
shifts going out with warm water and changing the water.
*until we can get a water warmer* So I have spent the last few
days changing out water. I was so happy the kids were home to do it yesterday!
Here they are huddled under a heat lamp where
they spend pretty much day and night right now.
It was snowing on Sunday evening and I snapped this picture
it was 40+ MPH wind and -3 wind chill...so the pictures are not
perfect but i have my fingers left LOL
So happy hubby got the lights up before the storm.
You know we live out int he country and NO ONE puts lights
up except for us, but I can't help it. I am sorry but the kids love it
and by golly so do I! :) It might not be practical but it's fun.
I did notice 2 days after we put up lights the neighbor put one net light
on their bush, they have 3 girls I bet they were bugging dad for lights LOL

I had to share this last photo.
We went to a gingerbread house making party on Sunday afternoon
this is what my middle son Justice brought home.
Originally I had thought...well he is more mathematical so maybe the
creative side is with his brother....let me tell you how WRONG I was LOL

He sat me down and said "Momma, I had the PERFECT house, mom it was
so perfect, everything looked awesome...but then the crackers started to break
and I kept breaking cracker after cracker...so I decided...My house was
hit with a HUGE BLIZZARD and it blew the whole house down...
and you know what? A green gummi bear lived inside and he DIED..
see? There he is buried in the snow mom" then he giggled hysterically! LOL

Boys...oh sweet funny boys...they crack me up. I won't ever forget that.

Anyways enough of my gabbing today...are you asleep yet??
I am LOL

I have a fun little giveaway today....
I don't have a picture because I am so tired and it's dark. But it's
a fun little package of embellishments from the
Imaginisce Cottage Christmas line...perfect for Christmas!
Did you see yesterday they were giving away a Cricut Cake?
Better go check it out! :)
Leave a comment here about your Christmas scrapping and on
Friday a random winner will be drawn! :)

Oh and I have been playing with my Imagine so I have projects to
share this week as well! Just get my kids to school and we will be set! *wink*

Ok have a beautiful Tuesday everyone!

~Monday is here, why not craft?!~

♥ Good morning my crafty friends ♥
It is Monday and I feel it LOL

I have been scrapping so many Christmas layouts and all those
pictures, so I decided to take a little break from that and dig into my
Garden Party papers from Imaginisce....it was a perfectly lovely break.
I like to mix it up and not get stuck in one season when I scrap.

I love this new line, they even have MESH BRADS in this line and plenty
of flowers, chipboard, die cuts. It is a beautiful line for sure ♥
On these butterflies I used the Glue Arts Ribbon Adhesive and it worked perfectly
those thin strip is perfect for the body of the butterfly!
I love how they mixed the blues and green in with the pinks.
I used my XL Monarch Butterfly Punch, I really want to find the small
one but it is always sold out in my stores *sigh*
I am not ready for spring quite yet but it makes me happy to scrap it.
Oh and guess what? This week Imaginisce will be sharing many of the
Garden Party projects and I am sure you will be able to win some *wink*
so be sure to check the Imaginisce Blog out all week!

I hope your Monday is amazing!

~Christmas Traditions Layout & BOGO Sale~

♥Good morning my amazingly crafty friends♥

I had a fun night last night, I FINALLY set up my Imagine...
well ok hubby did but still it is done! I even printed up a couple
tags to work with on my next LO!

He cleaned up and organized while I scrapped this page.
I needed a picture to scrap for the new Noel Mignon challenge contest,
so I dug through my old Christmas pictures. This is one of my favorite all time photos
of the boys with dad right before Christmas.
We had just moved to TN and it was a wonderful experience
you want to know the funny part? Neither one of us can remember where
this darn Christmas tree farm is LOL We have tried to find it
and we both come up blank.
Anyways I used the new Echo Park paper (or maybe it is old?) and some vintage
crocheted lace, with those AWESHUM snowflakes from Imaginisce, and my
handy dandy Glue Arts Ribbon Adhesive.
If you wonder why I am always listing the items I used,
it is because I do get alot of emails about it, and if you want to make
a page for yourself then you have the ingredients on hand ♥
Plus if I love a product I am not going to lie to ya, I will tell you it rocks!
Journaling:
The best gift I have ever received for Christmas, was not anything that could be given in a box. It was a FAMILY, a real family.
My first Christmas with my husband, we stayed up all night in each other’s arms talking until we fell asleep at dawn on the couch, then woke up an hour later with our son opening gifts.
Every year it is the same story, we are so excited putting out the
special gifts and watching the lights on the tree.
We talk about family , friends and events of the year, our lives before
and our lives now, our children, our losses, our joys.
It all comes up on Christmas Eve.
I never had a real family and for me that is the best gift I could ever receive.
Spending those moments in anticipation of the children’s excitement the
next morning with someone I love knowing we are a true family.

One more thing...TODAY ONLY!
If you buy one kit you get one FREE just pay extra shipping! :)
Here is the LINK for the Mini Kit

That's it for me today, I am going to have cupcakes with friends
later on and try to dig up a sausage breakfast casserole recipe for dinner!
Happy Friday everyone!

~Thank YOU for popping by~
~Have a beautiful day~

~Blog Hop WINNER & Coffee Cake~

Good morning!
It is a frigid 13 degrees this morning and I feel it♥

Last night hubby worked late so I decided to make a Sour Cream Coffee Cake
while I waited for him to get home. I woke up early (6am) with the
intention of taking a picture and sharing the recipe.

But I woke up to this LOL
So...I guess it was a hit. It's been a long time since I made it
but generally I make it around Christmas for Christmas morning.
I thought I would share my recipe :)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cups white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt

  • Topping/Middle layer:
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

This is for an 8X8 Pan, but I make 1 1/2 recipe for my 13X9 pan
Mix all wet ingredients, blend well, then slowly add dry.
Pour half into pan, then coat with half of topping.
Carefully dollop rest of batter on top, coat again with remaining
sugar topping. Bake for 40-50 minutes at 325.

It really is a good coffee cake and the entire family loves it! :)
Ok on to the winner of yesterday's GLUE ARTS package!

~The First Samantha Walker Blog Hop!

Good morning my amazing friends, if you have arrived here this morning
you have arrived at the very first Samantha Walker Designs BLOG HOP!

I am #2 on the list....the first stop is the ever famous
Samantha Walker of course!

This is a fun blog hop with the new Creative Team.
I am so blessed to be a part of.

Today I made a special project and a full video tutorial.
My project is hand made garland but it's not just garland
it is also a Christmas Card Holder.
In my house we are having a "Country Christmas" theme this year
so I wanted many of the decorations to be handmade, you know
the usual but with a Pinky POP, so I came up with this idea.
Each tree has a clothespin on the back for handing your Christmas cards
It was so fun to make, I made it with the boys, they LOVED it!
Everything from the garland to the cards are from the Samantha Walker lines
she has everything from fabric to paper and they all seem to flow together
I hope you enjoy this project as much as I did making it.
Here is a full step by step video on how to make your own! :)

Your next stop on the Blog Hop HOP is...

Thanks for stopping by today.
I know Samantha will have a prize but I also wanted to offer a prize on this blog!

They are so generous and always so kind...they have offered up a PRIZE PACKAGE
A Glue Glider Pro, their 3-D Combo Pac (as seen in the video)
