~Tattoo Weekend + Baseball Player In Training LO~

Good morning my friends,
What a weekend we had, we spent 80% of it in Tattoo shops.
But first I have this layout to share....

I don't have girls but I have the most amazing friends with
little girls, and it has become the light of my life for sure!
(of course my boys are amazing but I have light enough for 20 more LOL)
Anyways created this layout last week with some snapped iPhone photos
from the ball field last week, how funny if this kid????
I am peeing my pants watching her, she is such a sweet hoot~

So this weekend hubby set out to get a tattoo, we made an appointment
at Absolute Ink in Murfreesboro with Jay. He drew up the tattoo, we
showed for the appointment, then waited 1.5 hours, then Jay decided
he would not tattoo hubby because he didn't think hubs was "ready" and he
wasn't "feeling" him -so he said no and started playing with his phone.

Yea that was super cool and professional *ugh*, I knew tattoo
artist were known to be flaky but this was so heartbreaking after
saving our money for a year and having it all ready and making
our appointments....the guy acted like we weren't worth his time.
anyways...
since hubby has waited 36 years for this tattoo we decided to find
a more professional shop and head to Nashville.

I am so happy we did, Blackbird Tattoo & Gallery had the nicest people
who were completely professional and Ed drew up hubby's tattoo,
then we came back Sunday to get the actual tattoo done.
I went to teach my card class and met up with hubby later.
It was a great experience and Ed was just amazing.
This was the end result, a pink haired girl with her head severed
and a skull holding it up. It was a celebration of our 10 years together
but in hubby's twisted horror way LOL
The colors will be brighter as it heals, he did a great job,
I am so excited we found this shop.
So that was our tattoo adventure that lasted from Saturday until
Sunday night, I was happy to get home!!!

Hope today makes you smile like sweet Payton made me smile.
Happy Monday~

Good morning my friends,

This week Clear Scraps and Pink Paislee are partnering up for some
creative fun, and this is what I ended up making. :)
The Heart Send It Clear Card and the cool Pink Paislee
Prairie Hill collections with touches of the Indigo Blue.
I love the patterns and colors...made me smile the whole time!
I also used the Glitter Liner and Pearl Pen from Viva Decor.
And a lace doily I had one hand from a Tally Scrapper kit a long
time ago, I think it was from Kaiser Craft.
I love the denim look and this is how the card looks
open of you are as confused as I was the first time around LOL
Fun stuff, be sure to stop by the Clear Scraps blog and the Pink Paislee
blog all week long, I am sure they will have prizes too! WOOT!~

~Card Making With Embossing~

Happy Saturday my crafty friends,

I have some fun cards I made with Globecraft Memories
I am in love with the Piccolo Enamel Powder, check out the
cool 14K Gold powder I used on these cards.
The outline of the card is also enamel powder called "Girl's Night Out".
I am normally not a purple girl but I found some Bo Bunny papers and
popped it up with Kanban metallic papers (my favorite)
it all blended nicely, I was happy with the end result.
We will have to see if these pop up anywhere fun~

~All Things Altered Blog Hop~

Good morning my crafty friends!!

Welcome to the "All Things Altered Blog Hop"!!
My friend Pam asked me to join her blog hop and it's so much fun.
Many prizes along the way.....you should have arrived from Pam's

For this blog hop I made a chalkboard from a old frame and the paint
of my choice. (recipe below).
I used vintage lace, twine, a Purple Cows punch, pearl pens, paint
unsanded tile grout, old frame, and a small board.
I actually began the chalkboard at a Pinterest Party, then my friend
Melody brought it home for me so I could finish it off.

Here is the homemade chalkboard paint recipe:

Start with flat-finish latex paint in any shade. For small areas, such as a door panel, mix 1 cup at a time.

1. Pour 1 cup of paint into a container. Add 2 tablespoons of unsanded tile grout. Mix with a paint stirrer, carefully breaking up clumps.

2. Apply paint with a roller or a sponge paintbrush to a primed or painted surface. Work in small sections, going over the same spot several times to ensure full, even coverage. Let dry.

3. Smooth area with 150-grit sandpaper, and wipe off dust.

4. To condition: Rub the side of a piece of chalk over entire surface. Wipe away residue with a barely damp sponge.

Ok on to the next blog....
Be sure to comment on EVERY blog to be entered to win.
Many prizes along the way!!

Good morning my friends,
I cannot believe it is already Thursday and Spring Break is almost over!
It just flew by, yesterday we hit the library and yard work, I
capped off the day out to dinner with the girls. Fun times....

Anyways I made these cards this week.
Two Kanban cards, I have more projects coming too! Been a great
creative week so far.
This one I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the card shape,
and added the cool KanBan accents.
And this one I just whipped up because I loved the zebra animal print.

I also wanted to share part of the Hunger Game SVG's I am working on.
This is the arrow.

I am working on the bird and ring, I have the ring but not downloaded

~My Long Beautiful Road & Sweet Friends~

Good morning my friends,

While we are in the midst of spring break and 86 degree days here in TN,
I took time out in my craft room to create this week.

Ok it's mostly hiding from the boys LOL
I created this layout "My Long Beautiful Road", with some
snapshots I took a month ago. Hubs called me at 6am and said "Hurry
go to the railroad tracks and fields and take photos!"
It was a beautiful frosty wonderland. He knows me so well.
Anyways this railroad shot really gave me some reflection on my life this year.
The lessons I am learning as I get older.
Journaling: As I approach 40 I see now that people who want to
find fault with you, are insecure and not always worth the pain they
bring to your life. If they choose to see you as a bad person you cannot
fix their choice no matter how much kindness or love you give to them.
Just let the insecurity go~
You cannot blame yourself for others insecurities.
Treasure those who love you for your kindness & love.
I used the amazing Samantha Walker papers, and the sweet
Purple Cows Punch to make the banner. :)
Here is the original photo I took. Such a fantastic morning
it really gave me so much to think about and gave me such inner peace.
Oh and I wanted to show you a couple shots I took yesterday!
Miss P is going to be in a pageant and we needed a head shot,
she did not want to sit still for anything LOL but I did get some
cute candid shots of her. :)

Isn't she precious, it was a sweet day.
What a blessing she is in my life.
I am so blessed to be surrounded by sweet little girls and
some amazing boys too. It's going to be a fantastic summer!!!
Cannot wait for the picnics, park trips, and parties.
I think this sun is really helping my mood LOL
Happy Hump Day my friends!!!!
