Pet Love Photography

Morning friends, I wanted to share this project today
because my son who is now 13 is really showing his eye for
photography and he loves to snap pets. He is 100% an animal lover
and I know he sees things I do not.
He took these pictures at my friends house while we were
visiting one day. I sent them to my email and had them printed.
After looking at the I decided to make a project with them as well.
The first thing I reached for was a Clear Scraps Clipboard.
Not everyone has scrapbooks, so these make incredible gifts for
the person who loves art but doesn't have a scrapbook.
I left it clear because I like the effect and I used the 12" Arrow Heart Mascil from
Clear Scaps on the back with some teal Krylon spray paint to create the hearts
I used some Jillibean Soup papers and stickers I got on clearance for the rest.
Such a fun heartfelt project to create with my son.
He sees that I respect his work and I can share with our friend.
Hope your Wednesday is beautiful friends.
Much love- Pinky

Love You Clear See Through Card

I know it's shocking isn't it? I still make cards! haha
I actually still give out handmade cards too!

It's funny because a person I know came over and took a bunch
of my handmade cards and she sends them out with packages as well.

So yes crafting is alive and well in my house, I just have been so busy
I haven't really posted, but they are happening!
This ne was using the March Kit from Creating Made Easy,
and wait until you see the next kit, it's the BOMB!
I love this kit and all the beautiful colors though, I really do!
For this card I of course cut the back side longer and folded it over and adhered it.
I cut the painted flowers from the kit in half and used them on the side.
Also the pretty LOVE YOU was in the sticker set. So you really have everything you need.
I made a layout, a card, and a mini album plus other layout and 2 more cards.
It's a good value kit for 29.99!
Happy Monday friends! <3 p="" to="" ya="">

Neon Rainbow Tag? Yes Please!

Hey there again! THREE days in a row, I am getting my crafty groove back! :)

This is my tag for March using the new Clear Scraps Tag Album & Tag Box Set from the 2016 CHA Release!
I was really feeling the rainbow, neon vibe so I decided to experiment and make a very colorful tag for the month.
For this take I used four different alcohol inks which I dropped onto the back of the tag from the Tag Album after removing the protective film. Then I allow it to dry.I tamped it with a dabber to spread it all out.
After it dried completely I used a very light yellow spray paint (Krylon) to paint over and make it more opaque.
You will never guess what I used for the Clear Scraps Butterfly Mixers?! I used nail polish, yes regular old nail polish. They were sitting by my craft table the I thought the colors would go so well, so I removed the protective film from the backs of the butterflies, then I coated each one in nail polish and set it aside to dry while I created the stamped sentiment.
Now I tried to stamp on the tag directly but the color wasn't as bright as I wanted, so I used nail polish remover and removed the stamped image and stamped it on paper. Then distressed it with StazOn green inks.
I used a vivid green ribbon for the top after everything tried up nicely and yes it takes some time, but it was worth it, changing techniques.
I hope you enjoyed my project today, it was a fun experiment!
Have a wonderful Thursday friends...

Cheese Grater Jewelry Holder POPPED!

Hello two days in a row blogging! She is back! :)
I have a project today that really is for any DIYer or crafter who likes to make things as gifts or for themselves. I have seen these Cheese Grater Jewelry holders forever it seems and I really wanted t personalize one for myself. But I wanted it to POP!
So why not add some Clear Scraps goodness to make it an amazing gift.
Of course you can use any cheese grater, new or old, they are quite inexpensive in fact. I took some spray paints and one of my favorite Clear Scraps Mascils/Stencils, the 6" Groovy Hearts Mascil. Really the 6" stencils fit perfectly on the grater itself making an easy decorating area.
Once you paint the entire grater, you set the 6" Groovy Hearts mascil on the grater, and use several paints to make it pop with graduated colors. It's easy to place and if you need it held down you can use a glue dot, but I did not need one to create mine. I wanted a pretty base color so I chose teal.
Because you will be using a metal friendly spray paint, I do suggest a sealer and 24 hours dry time before using or it can be slightly sticky. I believe it is because the paint is a bit thicker with a primer built into the paint before you use it. Also be sure to clean the grater with alcohol a well.
There are so many Clear Scraps Mascil/stencil designs you really an customize it to any style you like, and the Doily Mascil would make it more vintage style!
I am thinking of making these for  gifts during the holidays, really they would make a fun customized gift you could add a name to as well.
I hope you enjoyed my project today, it's definitely a great one for kids or anyone who love DIY!
Have a great and crafty hump day friends!!

Easter Chick Basket Mini Album by Pinky

Hey there friends, as terrible as I have been at blogging lately,
I have been creating! Better late then never? haha

This fun project is from the March Kit from Creating Made Easy.
It's a Easter Chick Clear Scraps Basket Mini Album I created using the kit.
Actually it is the feature project of the month!
I had so much fun creating this Easter Chickens Basket Album using the kit, and yes there are step by step instructions included with every kit!
The flowers included in the kit are so easily altered to fit any color.
And of course they easily match the Clear Scraps  Chipboard Title with paints!
I thought it would be fun to include pictures of my chickens since they were my Easter chicks when they were little peeps.
So many beautiful colors in the kit, I found it easy to coordinate.
For each page I left the acrylic clear to show through, placing the matting on the back to hide the adhesive.
I placed the photos on the front and could easily add more.
For the back page I graduated colors of paint, you could easily add extra photos on each side!
Each flower was painted to match the "Easter", and the buttons were from my stash, but they went very well.
The florals and colors are perfect if you wanted to go with reds or yellows just as easily.
Grab your kit before it's gone because it's a fun one!
